Tracy Holsenback, Teacher of the Year

Tracy Holsenback is a dependable and caring professional at school and in the community. Mrs. Holsenback’s students are always fully engaged in her exciting lessons and activities, which include all the components of our District Literacy Model. She holds small group workshops, teaches model lessons for individual teachers, and gives professional development presentations to our entire faculty. Tracy was selected by her peers as the ACIRA Distinguished Teacher of Reading for 2009-10. She takes every opportunity for training, especially in the area of data-driven instruction using Dominie and MAP results. Her love of learning and her enthusiasm for all school activities are contagious. We are proud to have Mrs. Holsenback as our teacher of the year!

Antonio Scott, Staff Member of the Year

 Antonio Scott was selected by his fellow workers as our 2010 Staff Member of the Year. Mr. Scott exhibits loyalty to East Aiken Elementary, a caring and positive attitude toward children and adults, perseverance, and zest for life. As a special education instructional assistant, Mr. Scott relates well to all the students and serves as an excellent role model for them. He comes everyday with a bright smile and a friendly attitude. We love Mr. Scott!
