The mission of the North Aiken Elementary School counseling program is to promote students’ personal, academic social, and career success in a safe and motivating environment through a partnership of school staff, parents, and the community to help prepare students to be productive citizens who have a desire to be lifelong learners. Students may be referred for counseling in different ways- By their teacher By their parent By the administration and/or Student Support Team By themselves The three areas that are addressed in classroom guidance, small group guidance, and individual guidance are: Learning to Live Learning to Learn Learning to Work Character Education is an important part of our curriculum. We encourage students to learn about and display the traits daily.
