SBHS Chapter National Honor Society
SBHS Chapter of the National Honor Society follows the
National Honor Society's purposes: Scholarship, Service, Leadership, and
Character. All chapters are governed by the National Constitution.
Juniors and Seniors who obtain a 3.75 GPA are eligible for
membership. Candidates are then selected by the NHS Faculty Committee and are
invited to become members of the Chapter. Upon acceptance, a formal induction
ceremony will take place.
All members are expected to maintain high levels of the four
purposes of National Honor Society. The adviser and administration shall monitor
for compliance with obligations. Members are encouraged to participate in NHS-sponsored
activities which shall aid and assist the faculty, staff, administration, and
student body of SBHS. Members are expected to attend monthly meetings the first
Friday of the month at 7:30 AM.
NHS goals of service to humanity, achievement of excellence,
development of character, and growth in citizenship will lead members to an
enhanced quality of life and concern and devotion for human life.
