This is my 3rd year as Assistant Principal at Byrd Elementary.  I look forward to being a part of the leadership team as we go from the old site to the brand new school this year.

I have been in the Aiken community since 1982.  I attended Lauren's Street Elementary, Schofield Middle School, and graduated from South Aiken High School in 1991.  My college experience started with USC-Aiken where I earned a minor in business and a major in elementary education.  I attended graduate school at USC where I earned a M.Ed. in Educational Administration.  I taught briefly at Schofield Middle and Kennedy Middle before moving into elementary school.  I have taught 4th grade at Aiken Elementary and North Aiken Elementary.

My family and hobbies keep me entertained.  My family includes my wife, son, step-daughter, dog, and cat.  I teach dance classes at Burns Dance Studio in Aiken as well as choreograph for the USC-Aiken Dance Team.  I can also be found teaching fitness classes at the Gold's Gym in Aiken.  Finally, my remaining time is spent wakeboarding at the lake or Savannah River.
