Dear Parents,

My name is Heather Haynes, and I am your child’s new guidance counselor at Millbrook Elementary. This is my second year Millbrook and look forward to a great year.

My educational background includes obtaining a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science from the University of South Carolina-Columbia in 2006, a Master’s degree in Counselor Education from Augusta State University in 2008, and a Specialist degree in Educational Leadership from Augusta State University in June 2010. 

I had a great year last year, and I am happy to be back and work with your children!

This area will give me the opportunity to communicate with parents and students. The counseling department at Millbrook focuses on character education. This will be instilled through individual counseling sessions, small groups, and mainly classroom guidance.
