OWES Morning News

All fifth graders at OWES are encouraged to apply for a position on our morning news show. Topics that we report on regularly include: birthdays, weather, lunch menu, character, upcoming events, our school motto, the pledge of allegiance, and our moment of silence. All OWES Morning News staff members anchor as well as operate the equipment. Everyone gains valuable experience in public speaking and we have tons of fun. Who knows…future TV celebrities may be getting their start…right here at OWES.
