Aiken County Public Schools

Aiken County Career and Technology Center sponsored the
1st Annual Derby Day Race
2011 TECHCAR 33 RACE

All departments had the opportunity to build a derby car from scratch, complete with paint jobs for competition. The cars were judged on "Best in Show" and the actual race winner. Judges were Dr. Elizabeth Everitt, Dr. Tim Yarborough, Tammie Newman and Ashley Logan. Director Brooks Smith served as the event emcee and official 'trash talker' to get the teams pumped up for a good, clean competition.
