A select group of girls from grades 6-8 were privy to a private
lunch featuring special guest speaker, Mrs. Christine Hurley
Deriso, acclaimed book author and journalist. Opening remarks
and introductions were given by Principal Jacki Barnwell. The
event was organized by career specialist, Helen Richards. A
Chick-fil-A lunch was provided by the sponsor, Bridgestone-Firestone.
Eighth grader, Baylee Cullum, penned and read aloud her poem
entitled, "You Can Be Whatever You Want To Be." Special

Media Center, for their assistance with the event.
