District 15 Special Olympics

The 2011
District 15 Special Olympics was one for the memory books as
hundreds of students from Aiken, Saluda and Edgefield Counties
took part in activities ranging from races, arts and crafts,
to long jumps and obstacle courses. Midland Valley High played
host to the students, their parents, teachers, and escorts.
Superintendents Dr. Elizabeth Everitt (Aiken) and Dr. David
Mathis (Saluda) were on hand to start the festivities. In between
the events the children were treated to hotdogs, ice cream,
and pizza donated by local businesses and volunteer organizations.
A huge THANK YOU to all who made this year's
Special Olympics a very special event for all involved!
