one appointed person to serve as the main contact for web
design;
- maintain
a current backup copy of all materials;
- use
a standard editor, text processor, or word processor that
saves and edits files as htm files; (Our web server does
not support files created in Publisher)
- insure
current materials are on the server. (Delete unreferenced
pages and graphics);

Page Organization:
- Always
use lower case.
- Limit
file names to eight characters or less. (e.g. yourfile.xxx)
- Name
your home page index.html

Page Content:
The school's
designated person for the web page should check all new pages
or updates to make sure that:
-
all pages display correctly in internet explorer 5.5 and
above;
all graphics load quickly on Internet Explorer;
- web
pages have no errors in spelling or grammar;
- web
pages are checked and updated regularly;
- A
link to ACPS site is on first page.
- no
student's personal information appears on any pages, such
as their full name, class schedule, home address, telephone
number, e-mail address, name(s) of family members;
- no
students photograph and name appear on the same page;
- no
web page contains objectionable material or links directly
or indirectly to other sites that contain any objectionable
material.
